I've been googling for around 1 month now, finally saw this site. When is this game opening. Is it happening this year or do we wait another year? plzzz answer
No one knows anything as of yet. They may do another CBT or go into OBT. No estimate date of when NA or even Korea will get this game officially open yet. Just be patient and keep an eye out on this website and the KMS2 website for more information.
I'm almost sure it'll be OBT next. They wouldn't be stating "Hey register your code now to get your OBT stuff!" if there was going to be a 2nd CBT. If that was the case, they woulda done that code registering event DURING the 2nd CBT.
But nothing is certain.
I hope though that OBT will be indefinite (like Black Desert) and/or just do a smooth transition to live release.
We don't know when. I heard it's gonna be out on April 29th for South Korea but idk if this is real or not :c
i think they will release MS2 at the end of this year
^They have to...
It only makes sense that they will release the game by the end of this year, but that being the Korean version. Now for everywhere release, I wouldn't be surprised seeing a 2016 release.
I really hope they speed up the proces.
I wanna play in summer
@HiddenStreet Plenty of mmos out there that been rushed shortly and doing pretty well. Idk why but to me it seems that most people haven't played mmorpgs before or something. it's not like 10 years ago when every game needed a very long time to get to other countries. Technology has improved greatly and they have found ways to do things. Not saying it won't take that long but Nexon NA biggest cash cow is MS and with the current state of MS going right now. I highly doubt it be years before it gets it. I wouldn't doubt if they already have things planned out just kept on the low down for having the game to get over seas before 2016 or early 2016 at latest. Depending on release date of KMS2 that is.
@Omniscient1 yeah, very likely for GMS2 alpha or even closed beta late this year. I'd guess about a year from now (March-May 2016) for open beta.
Localization aside, it does make sense to stagger releases though, since it lets them find potentially big flaws in systems. Remember that while S.Korea can trace all player accounts to phone/address, that doesn't happen for global games, so issues with financial systems and other types of abuse need to be really carefully examined separately for the global market.
