I hope you actually have to do something to get the job. (like collect 30 drops from a monster or kill a boss etc.) Instead of just talking to your NPC and instantly getting the job. It was nice to earn the job and actually work for it ( besides leveling). Just my thoughts, what do you guys think?
I agree. I remember where we had to collect 30 dark orbs or something for 2nd advancement, like Magician - Priest, F/P Mage, I/L Mage. In fact, I hope I am not the only one, but I'd collect one extra orb and when I'm level 100+, I'd look in my etc. inventory and remember the old days of noob
But yeah, we should get a test, like the explorer job advancement test. It wasn't too hard, but it gave a sense of "Oh, a test! This is super important!". Then afterwards it's like "We passed, we got a big achievement!"
I remember doing the 30 dark orb thing. It was a PITA for clerics.
Oh man, that's one thing I actually miss. The job advancements were an actual CHALLENGE. Fighting the level 70 doppelgangers was a thrill! The 4th job advancement was a journey! I actually had great fun doing it on my character. Admittedly, it gets repetitive after a few fourth job characters, but I still thought it made the advancement much more meaningful. Heck, even the marble thing was awesome.
I felt sooo statisfied when I reached my 4th job, after completing the job advancement. I really liked doing it because it was something different than the grinding I had to do ;p. Btw do you guys remember that boat that took you from Elinia to Orbis? Ahh nostalgia <3
