This is exactly what I wanted to see.
Hard boss, with time limt and not solo-able (even when player gonna be super good time limit will prevent winning), I happy to see it. This game is not as casual as people say.
I like the fact that it can be super casual by just sitting there with other players and talking, but can also be a super hard core MMORPG at the same time!
Looks hard. And that's great! Looks like it'll take some strategy instead of having one OP player solo it all.

Wharz I wouldn't even mind if they kept it in Korean. I don't understand what it's saying but it sounds perfect. I feel like knowing what it means may even take away from it a little bit.
Now THIS is what a boss fight should be, unlike MS1, where it's almost literally a one-sided slaughter in your favour, regardless of what boss you're up against.
Also, either Zakum got a HELL of a buff, or we got nerfed to oblivion when transiting from MS1 to MS2. Both are good things though. We are way to OP in MS1.
I wouldnt be surprised if zakum will be a lvl 50 or even lvl 100 boss, when the game goes live. Right now zakum seems strong, but the lvl is to low. And we dont know if the players could max their skills, so it would have been easier to kill bosses. But yeah. I hope zakum will be a challenge, like it was back in my days when zakum came out. Spam lucky 7 and potions for 2 hours. This wont happen thanks to the 10minute timer, unless nexon changes it.
I heard that there was like a 10-15 minute time limit, which I'm not particularly fond of. These epic battles should be longer..

tingfeng27 thats how it was before, when zakum got released in MS1. Eventually, someone is gonna solo this thing in MS2, happens in every MMO
@Quantum I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that name, but the worst-case scenario is generally when a player is able to make a bot to farm a boss below their level, even if it takes a long time, and then ruins the economy by selling the loot or such. This is a huge problem in a lot of games, so it's common to see devs include a timer, though usually it's something more like a rage timer (I think that's the WoW term though), where a boss will get harder after a certain point.
I do agree that it's not the most fun mechanic. Also, the worst thing is, you need to get your loot before the timer runs out! Some players in the MS2 CBT killed a boss, and then the loot disappeared before one of the players who died could make it back (you can run back at any time, so it's not a timer to prevent this - it was his party's fault too for killing it before he returned ^_^).
Overall though, a 10-15 minute fight on a single enemy is a pretty long time, so I don't think it will feel too small.

@Voxov I'm just being selfish by wanting the timer to be raised. I did my best to ignore the glaring flaws with long boss timers, but in the end, what you've said is absolutely right. I guess 10-15 minutes isn't TOO short.

Solos were quite difficult at the time, and to do it as a 3rd job? Nobody even thought of it!
It took him 9.5 hours, that's ridiculous.
