Hi all, hope you're well.

I've added the ability to add guilds to the site! Right now it's relatively simple - someone can add a guild and add a banner. I then ok that guild (to prevent trolling) and then people can apply to join that guild. The leader / seniors can accept/deny applications or they will be erased after 3 days of no action.

The guild page shows your banner, members and posts and screens/videos from members. Members are also able to leave comments on the guild wall. Obviously only guild members can post there.

To do
* add the ability to promote / demote users to/from Senior position
* other cool bits!

Add a guild

Thanks and enjoy!

Do you think the controls will be mostly keyboard-based like MapleStory or more mouse-based like most 3D games?

For me, part of the appeal has always been the mainly-keyboard gameplay. It feels more like an action-based RPG, which I suppose in a large sense it is. And I think this is one of the most unique and appealing things about the original MapleStory. But will the MapleStory name alone be enough to win out over all of the other 3D games? Or will the game feature mainly keyboard-based gameplay?

What do you think?

They better be mostly keyboard like MS1. I hope its not like click target but rather like an action rpg game which is non click.

If arrow keys were used, the movement would probably be clunky, so I expect that MS2 will use a mouse for movement

I'm hoping for Dragon Nest controls/3D Style, but Maplestory-Chibi version. (First-person)

I'm expecting Dragon Nest controls as well but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more heavily mouse-based.

I'm also hoping for built-in gamepad support.

I hope the game is mostly keyboard based. Though it is 3d, if it is mostly bird's eye view then keyboard will work best and the player will be able just click skills on the keyoard and the player will sort of auto-face-the-direction of the enemy.
If the game is much more 3rd person but 3d like world of warcraft or like Super Mario Galaxy (don't know where that came from) then I think keyboard plus mouse will be best for simple aiming and attacking.

My major opinion is keep it keyboard based. As mr. Basil said, the keyboard quality of Maplestory has appealed to many and I saw and still see people comparing keyboard layouts with the enormous amount of skills players get and I like it a lot. To me, it's simpler and more fun than using a mouse to do the work. It's just the 3d part of the game I'm worried about, but I hope the keyboard has a major influence in how we'll be able to play Maplestory 2.

Like @Jesus said, I too hope that it would be mostly keyboard based, but I also feel like the mouse would have some use as well.

I voted "more mouse based", but I immediately regretted that vote. Based on the gameplay from the first trailer, I'm really no so sure.

I would say more mouse base. Probably more like Vindictus and Dragon Nest type controls. I hope it isn't point and click though. I think that 3d games more or less require more mouse base controlling than keyboard. As it's very hard to adjust the camera angles and things of that sort with your keyboard. You sorta need the mouse as it's much smoother. As long as it isn't auto guiding where you just click on where you want to go and it takes you there, or purely point and click then it should be easy to get use to and fine to use.

I hope and believe that it is all keyboard. I like being able to just keep both hands on the keyboard.

I'm going to be honest. While watching the video, to me, its more of a "mouse & click" adventure of "Diablo". I could give you a 1000 reason why I think of that. But, here are the main one's. Cube & and infrastructure, and 3d. Now, if it were in Elsword formula, then yes, I would be 100% sure it would be keyboard based. But, I think Nsquare might actually give you a choice between mouse and click, or keyboard. How they will do that? ( Enter Borderlands 2 Angel reference) "I dunno". But those are just my 2 cents in.

@Virtuewrite98 In the overview video they said the game would control similar to old maplestory using simple keyboard controls and even say "a mouse is not very maple, is it?".

A little bit of a late opinion, but by the looks of how they were aiming so quickly in the classes video I'd vote for WASD and mouse controls. Moving around using mouse to change which direction you're facing.

I'd say Directional keys. WASD Controls on an Isometric plain? Ewww...

Dragon saga control system just spam the hell outa skill, game doesn't looks like click and tab

I'm guessing that it will be more mouse based, with keyboard hotkeys for skills, kind of like with a moba like LoL or DOTA 2.

Just think of it as other 3D anime style , yea moba sounds about right too

Pretty sure it's been confirmed keyboard. Guys cmn and really think about it. 2.5 D means that you can't rotate the camera angles, in a game like that, mouses have to no places for controls other than clicking options, inventories and crap like that. Almost 100% sure its gonna be keyboard based.

I mean I guess it could be like a Moba controls or like Path of exile but lets be honest, its gonna be no where near as fun dodging boss aoes with a click of a mouse I think this is one of the few things that maple 2 will adapt which is similar to maple 1.
